While we work with our customers and create a Cisco Enterprise Agreement on their behalf, we hear the same questions on a regular basis. We thought it would be useful to create a video that addresses some of these issues to help people understand Cisco`s corporate agreements and the fantastic benefits they offer to businesses with an existing Cisco property. Cisco Enterprise Agreements offers two major advantages over conventional licensing. Cost savings and a significant reduction in operating overhead. Let`s look at each method in detail and go through the process. « The Cisco Enterprise Agreement has allowed us to be very agile. It is the cornerstone of how we can secure the future of our centres and be able to be agile and flexible to make adjustments, as we need them and how our industry is evolving. The first blog in this series highlighted the benefits of Cisco DNA software subscriptions and linked your hardware network to software consumption models. For this second article in the series, we focus on one of these consumer models: Cisco Enterprise Agreement (EA) and introduce some very attractive offerings for new Cisco DNA recordings in an EA. True-up is a traditional industrial standard. If you look at how traditional non-Cisco enterprise agreements work, what you used between your renewal data or between your True-Up data, which is a familiar term at all, you would normally be charged for it. Suppose your true-up data is from January to January.
What would happen is that if you started using additional products from March, the seller would normally come to you and say, « Hey, you used this product for that time, and now we`re going to charge you to catch up and charge you for it in the future. It is a true-up that is widespread in the industry. Your commitment is minimal and there is no additional burden on your employees. We do all the background work and come back to you with achievable knowledge. After the execution, you will have access to your licensing portal and you will be able to continue as usual, while achieving cost savings and operational benefits.
